May AlKhoury
Legal Assistant
I am originally from Syria and came to the United States in 2014 as an asylum seeker, carrying the weight of war, displacement, and the uncertainty that every immigrant knows too well. My own journey through fear, paperwork, interviews, and the constant worry of “what happens next” shaped who I am today. Because I lived that hardship myself, I dedicated my life to helping others facing the same struggles, people fighting for safety, stability, and a chance to rebuild. The work is emotional, difficult, and often life‑changing, and I consider it an honor to stand beside those who are walking the same path I once walked. Funny thing about me: I can navigate immigration matters, but I still can’t navigate a grocery store without forgetting half my list.
